Dysfunctional ideas are a result of, rather than the cause of,
psychogenic erectile dysfunction in heterosexual men - International

DClinPsych ACEB et al. – The authors sought to establish whether
holding dysfunctional beliefs is a psychological predisposing factor
for those with psychogenic ED. A total of 91 men completed measures to
establish their sexual functioning and beliefs in a number of
suggested MM. Individuals with organic and psychogenic ED did not
differ in their level of belief in MM but both groups differed
significantly from controls. The results suggest that subscribing to
MMs is a result, not the cause, of psychogenic ED....
