Magen David Adom ready for possible escalation of attacks in Israel

Months of relative tranquility at Israel's border with Gaza came to an
end yesterday after a Grad rocket fired by terrorists landed outside
of the Israeli coastal city of Ashkelon. The attack, which fortunately
caused no injuries, is in violation of the three-month old ceasefire
agreement between Israel and Hamas following Operation Pillar of
Defense, the counteroffensive Israel launched this past November after
suffering increased terrorist rocket attacks.
Coupled with riots, protests, and other Palestinian acts of unrest in
Judea and Samaria this week, this latest rocket launch from Gaza has
heightened fears in Israel that there could be an escalation of
violence or even a third Palestinian intifada.
