Optics:10x eyepiece with revolving pointer. Achromatic, color-coded,
parcentered, parfocalled and color-coded 4x, 10x, and 40x objectives.
Mechanics: Heavy-duty cast metal frame. Triple aperture objective
turret for smooth magnification adjustments. Mid-range focus with slip
clutch protects overturning; and rack-stop. Monocular head inclines
45° and rotates 360°. Rotating/Gliding stage has locked-on, spring
activated stage clips.
Illumination: LED light rated up to 100,000 hours. Illumination
equivalent to 20 W tungsten bulb. Includes three "AA" rechargeable
NiMH batteries and battery charger for 1000 recharges (up to 50,000
hours of use). Use charger as a 110 V adapter in a standard wall
outlet.
Computer Requirements: Intel Pentium, CPU 200 MHz or higher, RAM 64 MB
or above, hard disk 200 MB or higher, CD-ROM drive, USB plug, sound
card, speaker, microphone for video/audio recording, modem for e-mail,
video conference, and video mail. Includes Motic software.
Includes limited 5-year warranty on microscope; one year on camera;
and a heavy vinyl dustcover. Microscope height is 380 mm. Operating
system is Windows 98 or above.
