Biohazard Bags

Biohazard bags may seem like a quick solution to a potentially messy problem but they are not without their responsibilities. By order of OSHA, biohazard bags must be either red, bright orange or clear. The bags must be clearly marked "biohazard waste," or with the universal biohazard waste symbol or both. Cole-Parmer offers the highest quality bags for all your application needs. We have biohazard bags as large as 50 gallons down to 1/2 gallon size. All styles include a sterilization indicator patch that darkens when autoclaved. 

For sampling applications, Whirl-Pak sample bags are an industry standard. Use these sterile LDPE bags to safely hold your solids and liquids. The bags are easy to use, simply flip bag around wire/tape and bend wire to seal. Whirl-Pak sampling bags are available with or without a white labeling area; other options include bags with sponge for surface sampling, high-temperature bags, and thiosulfate tablet bags for water sampling.

For general purpose use, zip-lip bags are available in clear LDPE and in amber PE. Use amber sample bags for light-sensitive samples. Being responsible waste by using biohazard bags and other safety equipment is essential to worker safety.
